Changing the lifestyle of a person involves a lot of things. If you try to bring about these changes do them at one go, it would be really difficult to manage things and to continue for long.   1. Balanced diet – Your diet should have the right amount of vitamins and minerals. Eat lots of fruits; it will help you flush out the toxins that cause ill health, from your body.
  2. Physical exercise – Sitting at one place and eating will accumulate extra fat in your body, increasing your weight. This, in itself, contributes to making you a store house of diseases. Apart from this, stiffness of joints is another common problem that is faced by people who do not exercise regularly. Exercising makes you feel fresh and active. Flexibility, aerobic fitness and muscular strength are the three things that should comprise your exercising routine. Swimming, walking, jogging, cycling and many other options are available for you.
  3. Avoid smoking and taking alcohol – Smoking, boozing and doping are three things that can spoil your health, no matter how healthy you eat or how regularly you exercise. Even in small quantities, it can harm your body to a great extent. So, you can join a rehabilitation center to get rid of these addictions.
  4. Sunshine – Sunshine, in abundance, can harm the body, but a small amount of it is essential. Try spending around 10 minutes in the sunshine every day. It gives vitamin D to the body.
  5. Mental exercise – The mind affects the health of the body to a great extent. So, it is essential for the mind also to stay healthy. Playing computer games, watching T.V or merely studying do not give any outlet to the mind for creativity. Reading , writing and drawing are the hobbies that one should regularly indulge in, no matter how busy he/she may be. This helps the mind to relax.

These are a few things which should necessarily be followed to healthy, both physically and mentally. Only a healthy person will be able to accomplish his/her task effectively. A combination of both mental and physical health is necessary for a person to be called healthy, as both are equally important.
